I
am mainly responsible for the maintenance (shelving, reading, shifting, and
straightening) and upkeep (cleaning, repairing, and reporting) of the
circulating collection. This entails training student
assistants who work through the semester both upstairs and in the circulation
department. I also handle hold requests and searches for books. Our collection
consists of approximately 300,000+ circulating books, periodicals (bound,
unbound, current and electronic
databases), sound recordings, interactive compact disks, DVDs, videos, slides,
audiocassettes, curriculum, and reserves.
